CleanSky Energy Resources
In May, 2020, Titan Power and Gas officially began doing business in Ohio as CleanSky Energy. Titan Power and Gas was licensed by the Pennsylvania PUC in 2016, and operates in Ohio and New York as well. As a new market entrant Titan has positioned itself as a PA Electricity provider that features easy to understand rates. And by and large they are. Titan's Fixed rate plans found on PA Power Switch are under PP&L and PECO's Price to Compare rates. You should recognize that Titan does charge a $5.95 monthly base fee that adds .075 cents per kWh to your rate at 800kWh/ Month. At this point we have limited reviews for them and have ranked them at 2.9 stars.

We decided to switch to Titan Gas And Power when we moved in May of 2017 and we are extremely pleased with our choice. Their online customer service is excellent. Their rates are awesome compared to our previous supplier. Now our bill is $125 in the summer as opposed to nearly $300!!! Customer service has been easy to work with as well you can call or email. We have called 3 times. First to set up the account, Second to add a location and Third for a quick billing question, and they are always polite. So far, we are very happy with Titan Gas And Power and how easy it is to work with him. I recommend them.

At first I was really upset that my rate went up. I contacted Titan and spoke to a young lady named Shay. She took the time to explain to me what happened. It was my fault, I let my contract expire and that is why my rate went up. Titan was able to get me a rate that was close to what I had before.

My account was switched over to Titan Gas and Power and I was furious! I never signed up for them. I called as soon as I realized and found out that my account was rolled over by the electric company and NOT Titan. The utility does this when you are on the consumer plan? Titan gave me the choice to officially sign with them or to go to some one else. They even let me know the prices of thier competition. I received a letter from the utility a few days later explaining what happened. I decided to stay with Titan. The rate is lower and they were so nice to explain what happened.

Okay -- I won't do that again. I stupidly signed up for a 3 month locked in rate to a variable rate: "I'll remember to change it when I need to." Of course not. Totally forgot.
I really felt upset when I saw my rate go from 0.077-> 0.1169 -> 0.13975 -> 0.1698.
Up just enough I didn't notice until I finally saw a bill north of $300 (!).
Needless to say, I think this is a bit of trickery and I called CleanSky to say such. To their credit, I apparently received an email notice and one in the mail -- I figured it was spam, forgetting I stupidly signed up for a 3 mo agreement.
Jasmine at CleanSky heard me out, was kind, professional and understanding. I calculated how much more I spent -- nearly $300 when it went variable. You know what?! She actually listened and credited me back $272. VERY impressive. Go Jasmine. Go CleanSky.
My fault. Still think it is wrong to jack up prices when we're all busy and don't notice. But... way to make it right.

Clean Sky VS Clean Choice Energy
Called customer service today and spoke with Osha (spelling sorry) about an account that was transferred without my knowledge as a bait and switch to Clean Choice vs Clean Sky. The rate thru Clean Sky contract was 5.79 per KW and Clean Choice is 12.70 cents per KW. Clean Sky , once they understood what happened reinstated the contract that was changed without our knowledge 6/8/22. Clean Sky went well above and beyond what they had to do to correct the problem. Osha was wonderful to talk to. She was patient & understanding even though we were very frustrated about the problem. Thank you for sticking with us !. Couldn't ask for better customer service.

An Earlier Problem Corrected
I had signed up to get my electricity and natural gas supplies from CleanSky Energy for two properties four months ago. Somehow only the electricity accounts had been set up and nothing had been done for the gas accounts. Today, Jennifer, a supervising customer care staff member at CleanSky Energy, corrected the problem with the gas accounts and enrolled me for both properties. She will also arrange for me to get reimbursed for the extra money I have been paying to Washington Gas as a result of the earlier enrollment problem and a higher rate being used in my gas bills. Jennifer has assured me that she will personally monitor the situation to make sure today's enrollments go through and I will get reimbursed after I submit my gas bills so that they can compute how much should be credited back to my account. I am pleased with the service I received from Jennifer and her professionalism.

Had Titan for a 1 year contract. Competitive prices. Satisfied with service. When contract expired, I intended to just continue having Titan supply our electric. However, I noticed the generation and transmission portion of my bill suddenly more than doubled, went from 5.8 cents/KWh to 12.25 cents/KWh. I called and found if I sign up for another year it drops back to 5.79 cents/KWh, which I did. However now I am saddled with a couple of months of significantly higher charges until the new contract takes effect. This is the kind of thing that just frustrates me to no end. At no time was I made aware that the price more than doubles on a monthly basis until I realized my bill was unusually high for this time of year. Remember, business goes where it's invited, and stays where it's well treated. Titan, if you want to retain customers you must treat them better than this.

No energy generation and transmission company is your friend
Titan's introductory rate was good. But like many of the energy generation and transmission companies out there, they hope you forget about them and just keep paying your bill. Then they drastically increase the rate and "stick it to ya," just like so many other providers. Don't forget. Research your energy supplier options, be wary of variable rates, enrollment fees, early termination penalties, daily/monthly "service" fees, etc. Switch to the lowest overall priced provider and set an electronic calendar reminder or make an entry in your day/month/year planner to revisit energy provider options before your term expires. Then make a selection and switch before your "current" provider has a chance to raise rates on you. You owe no loyalty to disloyal providers like Titan Gas & Power. It's not personal; it's business ($). Wash, rinse, repeat.

When they switch from Titan to CleanSky, things got weird.
But i also never got a notice that there was a change of hands either or what my new rates would be.
So once my term were up, they took me from 3cents to 13cents. with a $5.95 monthly fee. The new rates and monthly fee was not something they made me aware of or was noted.
You can only imagine when your supplier charges go from $111 dollars one month to $270 dollars, the reaction you will having looking at a $423 bill in total.
Obviously I immediately switch providers and within 2 months had myself back at my previous rates. But within 2 days after i filed for the switch, CleanSky called me asking me to come back. I told the rep nicely that when a company over doubles your electric bill without giving you notice then asking you to come back when you switch because of that, do you think i would want to come back? Told him that you might want your management to be aware of that because you may not want to cold call those people because you will not like the conversations you will have with them.

Careful with Phone Scam saying they are "Clean Sky Energy"
I was with Clean Sky Energy and was happy with their rate however when my plan was expiring, their rate doubled from what I was paying the prior year. So I switched carriers.
Now I get at least one call a day from someone saying they are from Clean Sky and are offering me as a former subscriber a rate of .0499 which I know is bogus. They play the game to call back on their number and get a manager who is also a scammer. I called Clean Sky on the website number (which of course is different from the scammer number). They assured me there is no 0499 rate. Be careful. These crooks are good. They have your name, address and account information. Scary

Rovis from Cleveland, OH was the customer service agent I spoke with. Very kind and informative person. Listened to everything I needed taken care of and helped explain some prior issues from earlier in the summer that had been resolved but were still showing up on my bill.
This man is dedicated to his job and helping out his customers. I hate to say it but I was that customer calling at the last minute before they closed, and he was the last service rep there till past closing time helping me out.
He got me a great renewal rate, locked me in for 6 months, reviewed my previous bill, was very informative, did everything very quickly... and the entire time was incredible.

Just a warning...pay close attention to when your contract expires. They have predatory billing practices.
I didn't realize that my term had expired. But I wasn't that concerned because it would just be fair market prices (I thought). My rates had quadrupled before I realized there was a problem. I did try to talk to customer service to be made whole they offered me an insult and Said it was the best they could do. The service itself we never had a problem with, but they are a bad faith company. Be careful.

While the fixed rate was good for 6 months, Titan didn't send any notification my plan was going to expire (which I believe is mandatory). Instead, they tripled the rate without notification, during the hottest summer month, and my bill tripled to over $300 for 3 weeks of usage!

I've been a customer for a year. I received the reduced rate when I initially signed up. After 1 year and not signing a contract my rate went up 110%!! So, if you aren't monitoring your email or mail goes to spam expect to pay over 110% if you don't renew with them which I consider to be outrageous! I am reasonable and can understand an increase of 10-20%, but not 100% which in my opinion is them taking advantage of the situation.

These people convinced my elderly mother over the phone that she "qualified" for lower payments and they could save her money on her bills. She switched and the past few months her bills are double what she normally paid. She lives on a fixed income. She spoke with her regular provider and found out what her real usage was and called Titan to complain. The told her they would refund her "only 2 months back" and she should see a deposit in her account. I told her to tell the bank to Flag any auto payments from Titan in the future. If money is not refunded we will go to the attorney generals office to file a report.

We had Titan call us that our contract was expiring, and that we could find someone else to sign up with. we didn't do anything to find another supplier - we were ok with Titan Gas and Power since they were already a decent price. Now we've received our recent bill from Penelec/Titan and our bill has doubled (regarding Titan's portion) from Jan 2018 to February 2018. So, after reading some reviews on this website, we find out that if we would have signed a CONTRACT with Titan, we would have stayed at the previous rate. We stayed with them, thinking everything was fine, but then find out the rate doubled.......Funny how they don't and won't explain that to their customers. If they would have told us these details, we would have signed a contract with them. If this is how they justify to get you to sign, why don't they tell you this in the first place. When a full time working family has to find out these details "the hard way", it's just not fair.

So I went with Titan Gas and Electric I had to stay with them for the full year in order to keep the rate they were giving as I kept my bills and have them still a very displeased once I started searching my bills and the charges that Titan electric and gas supplier their rate was more higher then Penelec First Energy was much a better rate I was being doubled build and they're not going to say I have not because I paid higher on Titan Electric and Gas along with Penelec First Energy made my bills so much higher then it should have been and I had complain to Penelec and finally got out of Penelec. By taking on suppliers your bill will go up higher this is not right and I want something done they have caused my bill to go up higher and now I'm having difficulty and I need someone to help me with this situation. I was better to stay with the original company Penelec First Energy then to stay with the Titan electric and gas supplier. I don't think it's right when you're low income and paying that high rate. I have noticed since if you put suppliers on your bill your bill is going to go out of control you are better off with who you're supplier is in your hometown then to put other suppliers on your bill and they lie to you and tell you they're going to keep the rate good low in the rate is not low and not fixed as they say and it's more higher their rate compared to the rate of your regular Hometown Electric Company I just know by looking over my bills of how long I had Titan they had ripped me off and they have caused me debt and I can't afford this and I'm getting way upset over the electric cost and neither company wants to help is I've already confronted Titan I've already confronted First Energy and they never tell you until it's too late until you catch the mistake they made and it was a mistake to even put Titan electric and gas on my bill I want my money back on my bill to pay off the high rate they charged I didn't ask for this and this should have never happened that way.

Was on a 12 month contract for electric service. The contract expired and without informing me they increased their rate to $.15.17 per KWH. Since they have my address why didn't they contact me? They said they called and were hung up on. Do you know how many robo calls about gas and electric we get every week? They should have emailed or written me to say the contract had expired and the month to month rate would be the 15.17 rate but no they billed at the higher rate. Very poor business practice. I cancelled their service today!

When my original contract expired, the rate went from 6 cents/kwh to 11 cents/Kwh the next month up to 13 cents/Kwh and the next month 17 cents/Kwh. I cancelled after I noticed it at 13 cents but still had a partial bill at 17 cents/Kwh. Absoutly no controls in place or notification of rate hikes. Our local suplier PECO can only change rates 4x/year not every month!!!

I had a residential contract with Titan at a rate of 6.11 cents per Kilo-Watt-Hour. After my contract ended, I was automatically switched to a monthly variable rate plan at 13.64 cents per Kilo-Watt-Hour. This also occurred during my biggest billing cycle because of the winter weather, so my bill was significantly bigger due purely to a doubling of my rate, not actual services rendered.
What could be the reason for this other than trying to get more money out of a consumer who appears to not be active in their service purchases. My guess is that they hope some people will not pursue this discrepancy. Why not keep me at my contractual rate on a month to month basis? I would not have known the difference between the services while on contract and after and they would have retained me as a customer. I now have strong feeling against this company and would discourage others from using them.

2-year contract gas and electricity expired in December and I heard nothing from them. But my utility bill doubled. Was easy & quick to switch the electricity but the gas took about a month. Bottom line is they screwed me out of about $150 for each of two straight months, then about $160 the 3rd month because the gas took so long to switch back to PECO. This is my last experience with a 3rd party energy provider - never again!
Called the company and directed them to take my number off their list and that I never wanted to hear from them again - said some pretty ugly things to the very nice customer service rep - it wasn't her fault - but I asked her to tell her management all that I said. They're giving all these 3rd party power companies a bad name with the way they do their business. APECO rep verified for me what happened and on what day exactly.

I got lured into this company by their fixed rate, which honestly wasn't much lower than our power company's rate. After a year, they failed to notify me that the fixed rate plan had ended and they automatically switched me to a "variable" rate plan that varies from $0.11-0.17 per kW/h. Just for reference, our electric company rates stays within $0.06-0.07 per kW/h. I didn't take notice to the rate increase until 4 months after they switched me to the "variable" rate plan because my bill was astronomically high and I noticed they were charging me $0.1698 per kW/h! The only reason for their "variable" rate plan existing is to see how much money they can steal from you until you notice...and good luck getting it back. Fought with them for over an hour on the phone and they only gave me a credit for the current month. Stick with you local power companies plan, they are the only people that are transparent and honest. That is worth a couple tenths of a cent per kW/h to me.

Titan claims to have alerted me to a contract expiration but I don't believe they did. But, in any case, when my electric contract expired they tripled my rate from about $.05 to over $.16 per Kilowatt hour and added a monthly charge. By the time I noticed it, these price gougers had cost me several hundred dollars more than I should have been charged and, naturally, their policy won't allow them to make it right.
There are plenty of good suppliers out there who treat their customers fairly so choose one of them. Avoid doing business with Titan its shabby business practices. Don't reward these petty crooks with your business. Go elsewhere!

BEWARE of "Titan Gas & Power".
They will switch your contract from a fixed rate contract to a variable rate without proper notification. When my electric contract "expired" my rate went from about $.05 to over $.16 per Kilowatt hour and they added a monthly service charge.
I did not notice the rate change for 6 months and have been paying triple what I should have per the original contract. That is my mistake but you do not have to make the same one.
No offer to refund difference and it was obvious the customer service representative deals with this quite often. Random power company spam calls have also increased for me over the past 6 months.

I signed up with Titan Gas and Power-abusers as an option of the PA Power Switch program, which allows you to choose your supplier. They had an attractive package and I signed up for a year. After the year ended my account 'expired'. I assumed, as would most other people, that I would be back with my original default regional supplier now. Oh no... What happened is that Titan, without any notification, changed me into a 'variable plan' where you invariably get screwed over by high prices. This is not what their regular local customers pay. This is a special price for suckers from switch plans like me who are on contracts. My bills became three times higher than what they normally should have been. It was eight months before I caught this. Titan stole over a thousand dollars from me.

Signed up for a 12 month fixed price of 5.6 cents per Kwh. The promotion that I signed up for ended in the winter. After the promotion ended the price per Kwh increased gradually about 3 cents per month until it reached 16.98 cents per Kwh, I made the incorrect assumption that the monthly bill was just increasing due to the hotter summer months, but I was drastically incorrect. This resulted in paying hundreds more than I should have over the course of the summer, which honestly is not pleasant to find out. I ended up contacting customer service to cancel service and explained my unhappiness with the situation. They indicated that they sent notice for renewal before the contract expired, but either they did not send notice or I didn't see it with the 12 other pieces of paper the electric company puts in the envelope. At first they were only able to offer a $25 credit and offer to renew, but I indicated that I was just unhappy with how it was handled and wanted to cancel. After the customer service rep indicated that she was going to process the cancellation and after a brief hold she informed me they were going to issue a credit for a portion of the amount I believe I was overcharged. So while overall I definitely paid more than I should have, it stung less. The credit to the account the service representative offered and the professionalism of the service representative is the only reason I am giving them 3 stars for customer service. Otherwise it would have been all 1. If you can remember to switch or renew as the contract ends, go for it, otherwise choose a different provider.

After getting the Regulatory Body that governs Ohio Utilties involved, Titan Gas & Power re-rated the amount charged for electricity the final month of my contract. Between the time my contract ended with TG & P and the new contract began I entered a Varible Rate. TG&P took advantage and attempted to gouge me for alot of money. My rate was increased by 100+%. Anyway, due to confusion, I failed to pay my final bill. I assume responsibility for the final bill but TG&P turned me over to a collection agency without ever contacting me. I don't recommend contracting with TG&P.

Unethical, predatory and exploitative. I discovered that a third-party employed by Titan called a phone number that was in no way associated with our energy bill and allowed my mother - whose name is not on the energy bill - to sign up for Titan's services. My mother has dementia and is completely unaware of any call or conversation. Not only should she have not been authorized to make changes to the account since the account is not in her name, but she was contacted on her cell phone that is not connected to our electric bill. The vendor they use to generate sales is clearly preying on the elderly and unsuspecting just to close a sale. Her cell phone is not connected to any bills, or services and yet the amount of scam calls and phony sales pitches she receives on a daily basis as absolutely abhorrent. Titan's use of a company that is so careless, reckless, and unethical is a direct reflection of who they are as a company: do whatever it takes to make a buck. Evidently anyone who can answer a phone can enter a binding agreement with this company. They did not care that the account was not in her name and did not bother to send any type of agreement to review - like a legitimate and upstanding company would do. Instead they record phone calls as "proof" of a verbal agreement. Titan Gas and Power is just one more company - in a long and tired list - that values profits above people and demonstrates no regard for it's "customers".

This month it was so much higher than I ever paid PECO I checked it out.
Turns out there had been a fine print "introductory offer" clause and indeed I was being billed at a higher rate. A MUCH higher rate. I checked with PECO for a comparison bill and Titan was charging $100 in excess of that.

Salesman knocked on our door pretty late on a Saturday evening. It seemed like he was with our building management and asked to see a copy of our electric bill because other residents were unhappy with their rates. Somehow he ended up in our apartment, we weren't expecting to have a guest and of course there are concerns about covid so it was very uncomfortable. We signed up as there was a promise of our rates being lower than National Grid's especially once this imminent rate increase took effect that he kept talking about. Later we looked over the contract and the rate from CleanSky was significantly higher than our National Grid rate. Mind you, we did not want to spend time going over all of this while he was here and we were being pushed into signing up. I knew that I could cancel within 3 days so I signed it just to get out of the situation as fast as possible as it was getting really annoying. I called on Monday to cancel and upon explaining this the customer service agent told me that she doesn't understand because she sticks to her convictions and if she's not interested in something she says no, and she never changes her mind. She tried multiple other ways to try to get me not to cancel. Eventually she helped me cancel but told me there's no guarantee that the service won't go into effect because of the way their system works. This is a company that basically has no need to exist and therefore has to resort to these pushy, sketchy, annoying antics.

A Complete Rip-Off. Charged 3x what AEP's rates were
I have been trying to get an answer since December 19th, as to why Clean Sky Energy was on our AEP bill, especially since I was told they were charging me 3x the AEP rate. After many calls, each time in which I was told they would check and call me back within 24 - 48 hours (never happened). Their first response was "we have the phone call on record and will pull it". (never happened). After this response to my call, their next responses to my several calls were "the department that handles this hasn't responded to our request and we will have to "accelerate the request", we will call you back within 24-48 hours (never happened). Then their responses to my calls were "we will call you back by the end of the day" (I waited at home all day, never happened). Then their responses were we can't find the phone call. It's been too long and we don't keep them that long. After negotiating a refund (not near enough but I accepted it), I was told I would have a check within 7 - 14 days (never happened). It has now been 21 days and no check and when I e-mailed the lady that relayed the agreement info to me she said she would have to e-mail the department that takes care of the checks and would e-mail me back when she heard from them. It's been 3 days and no response. How long does it take to find out if and when a check has been mailed. It's just the same stall tactic hoping I will give up.

Beware! This one of those bait and switch companies.
When my fixed rate was over they tripled (literally) the price and added a $5.95 customer charge. I would avoid theses scam artists at all costs. If you've shopped for energy suppliers as long as I have, you'll find that there are honest companies and dishonest companies. This is one of the dishonest ones.

I never switched my stuff but somehow its been on my bill since March. I guess I didnt notice cause the price was the same. I am 20 years old with twin daughters and no income, the bill the sent me this month was more than my mortgage and I cant pay it. I have a shut off notice for February 24, less than 10 days. And they wont call me back.
Because of them I will have to MOVE OUT OF MY HOUSE because I cant stay here with my daughters with no electric and I cant get ahold of these people nor can I afford $250 ( half )just to stop it from shutting off. I DONT HAVE IT. I waited on hold for 20 minutes just for them to tell me to leave a voicemail. Then waited for another 7 minutes just for them to do the same thing. Im hysterical and I cant even get these people to talk to me.

A sales representative for this company came to my front door claiming to be my provider from National Grid. I never had a provider. He said he wanted to see my current bill for maintenance and that I'd get a $50 gift card for complying. He openly lied to me and tricked me into signing up for an energy paln with this company. I've tried emailing and calling this company numerous times in the last week to rescind this without any rate changes or fees and no one ever answers. I was left on hold TWICE for over half an hour just to be brought to voicemail where no one responded. This company and its practices are horrible.

CleanSky Energy is a terrible company who is out to rob their customers. I will never do business with them again. I signed up for a fixed 3 month agreement and unfortunately forgot to sign up again or switch companies before they were able to spike a ridiculous variable rate to eventually 4x what I had originally signed up for. I never received notice/reminder ahead of the expiration, just my original sign up email. I contacted them and they claim they sent me additional reminder emails, but somehow I never received them even though I received the sign up email just fine. They also told me my phone number wasnt attached to an account, but then when they looked me up by address they found my number was there after all, so how can I trust that they actually sent me reminder emails. Ultimately its my mistake, but its sad a company this large is out to get people like this. A 4x jump is unnecessary and only compounded that it was during winter months when our electric use was at its peak. I hope they enjoy the few extra hundred dollars they got out of me and lose out much more in the long run from my business and hopefully others who read this.

After my introductory rate ended, I watched my electric bill every day to see what the variable rate would be. My rate did not change on my daily usage for the entire month, and stayed at 4.4/kwh displayed on my daily usage every day of the month. After the month ended, I received my bill, and low and behold, they were charging my 11.69/kwh ! for the entire month, even though they showed 4.4. Customer service said they were not obligated to show the rate. Maybe not legally, but ethically they should show what they are charging you. Don't use this company if you want a company with morals.

Unsolicited knock on my door from someone claiming to need to see my energy bill to ensure an important note is dealt with. My building has controlled access and I don't know how the sales rep got access. The sales rep looked official and had a badge of some sort but was really just part of an elaborate sales ruse to get me to sign up with Clean Sky without really being honest about it or the rates I was signing up for. Was very persistent claiming he needed to see a recent bill. I have never seen such unprofessional sales strategy. Once I signed up and saw the massive increase in rates, I called customer service to cancel immediately and will follow up to sure my contract is cancelled. I will never do business with this company as a result of these scammy tactics that are totally unnecessary.

Like others I was solicited to switch my provider to Clearsky based on KWH rate lower than Potomac Edison. I signed up for a 3 month promotional period and was assured I would receive reminder emails that it was time to renew. Nope Nada. I got huge bill and called in. I was credited back after they looked into it. I gave them second chance. This time after the 90 days I got a call. I renewed. But it somehow never made it in to their system. So another big bill. When I called this time they had to track down the recording of the phone call to prove I they had called and I agreed to new plan. Another credit applied. and the final period of 6 months was set. That was in april for may start. Now here we are in July and I get a $432 electric bill. My rate went from 6.5 to 15 cents a KWH. All this at 3 months not 6. I called again and said I am done and I wanted credit for the $200 overage to my bill. Originally they offered $150 I said no $200. They came back with $197 credit back. I agreed and said apply it now. They said two billing cycles. I told them I have cancelled and returned to PE and I want credit Now. My bill is due August 2nd with PE so I have to pay it and hope the credit makes it back for next bill. I don't know how they continue to operate like this. No one ever gets reminders or offer to reup plan. They just default to double or triple the promotion rate and leave it up to you to fight to correct.

I called the customer service department about the outrageous power bill just delivered to me.
So they almost triple my kwh rate and I wanted to know why. The customer service rep told me that my fixed rate contract had run out and you automatically switched me to a variable rate plan at a % of their choosing. Which would havent have been the huge problem if your company didnt take advantage of the situation and there customers.
I have shopped all the other energy supplies in my area and my new rate is double other variable rate and almost triple other fixed rate contracts. When I asked how they could justify such an outrageous increase way outside the current market value/rate i received a we provide clean energy as an answer. Thats just unethical and a Lie. Clean energy is just a competitive and in a lot of way cheaper then alternative energy sources. I have a list of other 100% renewal and clean energy providers at a variable rate way under theirs. I think using clean energy as a front to take advantage of customer to be a very unethical business practice. I have documented the other rates from competing supplier (both variable and fixed).
I believe companies such as Clean Sky who perform unethical business practices and take advantage of your customer need to be held accountable. These unethical and immoral practices need to be investigated and shared so customers know who they are dealing with especially in times of nation crisis like the pandemic and extreme weather events. Making their business practices even more unacceptable and in my view should be criminal

CleanSky is an utter and complete scam. A salesman came by and fast-talked me into signing up. He told me in no uncertain terms that this would save me money. For reference, my normal BGE bill was between $100 and $150. After signing up for CleanSky, my bill jumped up to almost $350. I called customer support, and they still tried to say that I was somehow saving money. Save yourself a massive headache and do not fall for their BS.

Sneaky Sales Tactics
A sales rep snuck into my apartment complex. He then went door to door saying that he was with the utility company and was helping make sure residents were signed up. He told me that I missed a letter about the new utility pricing system and that I should sign up for this pricing plan before it went up. I was in the middle of a work project so I quickly signed off.
Later I looked them up and I realized this was 3x increase in pricing and that this is a common tactic. I immediately filed for cancellation so I wouldn't get the charge (they still haven't confirmed this). I also talked to my building and they said this wasn't the first time that sales members had attempted an unauthorized trespass.
On their website https://cleanskyenergy.com/sales-channels/ you can even see that they warn about this tactic (claiming to be utilities, claiming this was a regulatory change), which makes me think -- why would you need a warning against this tactic unless you were telling employees? I'm guessing this is only on their site to try to cover themselves from lawsuits...

These people have been harassing me and my brother for some time. They send mail that looks like you're late on your bill (so you rip it open, expecting you missed something). Then, they follow up by sending reps to trespass on your property and falsely claim they're with the energy company or your apartment building. They pretend they're locking you in at a lower rate which is untrue, and then they charge you $100 if you don't cancel within 3 days. Terrible business practices - it took me forever to cancel and get my money back. I wish I could refer a lawyer to tackle their predatory business practices.

I signed up for a 3 month plan with these guys - initially no problem. Towards the end of the 3 month contract I called in and informed them that I would not be renewing w/ them.
Fast forward to last month - my bill was the highest it EVER was, and the house is currently vacant! The reason? They increased my rate from under $0.05 to over $0.13 overnight. Met-Ed is currently at around $0.07 - CleanSky is almost DOUBLE that rate. I've emailed multiple times and never received a response. Avoid these people - completely unethical.

I THOUGHT PRICE GOUGING WAS ILLEGAL IN OHIO UNDER THE PUCO'S WATCHFUL EYE?
Dominion Energy Ohio included these Buffoons as a participating supplier for Customers enrolled in their Energy Choice program. When I received my most recent bill dated December 6, 2021, the shock I endured from this obvious error made by a disgruntled employee banging keys in accounting, I damn near fell out of my chair. My bill had doubled the previous months dollar total, but reflected only a ma art of the morning, it became obvious Clean Sky energy should never have been considered a viable supplier by Dominion Energy. Clean Sky increased my cost per MCF a staggering 52.05% over the rate I was charged at the beginning of 2021 and the total fees Clean Sky Energy invoiced on my last statement had a dollar amount for their portion alone, greater than my monthly invoice totals from April thru November 2021. These included Dominion and Clean Sky racketeering's collective fees. There can be no justification or feasible explanation for what I found so in closing I would urge those enrolled in Dominion Energy Ohio's Energy Choice Programs to be vigilant in reviewing their Monthly Statements. Fortunately for me, this is the last invoice I'll receive from these Utility Buffoons negating their ability to darken my mailbox and taint my disposition for the day. God Bless

Scam operation and won't stop calling
This company won't stop calling my home. over the past month we have been called over 20 times. We do not answer calls from anyone we don't know or suspect to be scammers. This place calls with at least 10 different phone numbers from all over the country and won't let up.
I answer one call from them last week to hear a male voice with an extremely heavy accent that I believe was from India. I tried to tell him to stop calling my home and harassing us and he continued with his sales pitch. When interrupted and told not interested I was told "you have to sign up or you will go to prison."!! Upon which I told him where to go in no uncertain terms and hung up the phone. 4 hours later another call from the same company.
I plan on reporting this company to the State of Massachusetts for harassment, and breaking both state and federal laws. I should not be getting any calls from this place, our phone number is on both the state and federal do no call list.
Enough already with these tactics, threats from the company. We keep blocking the numbers that they call from and they just call from a different phone number.
I would personally classify this business as a scam operation. Respectable businesses do not function in this manner.

Drastically raise your rates after initial 3 month contract.
Rate went up to .16 per kilowatt hour for Dec 2021. PPL is currently at .095. After end of initial contract rate went to a variable rate per snot on the phone that I talked to.
Supposedly they sent out two letters to let me know all this, but I don't recall getting them. I asked if they had my phone#. They said yes but they don't call about this for some reason. Asked if they could do anything to help me on the bill. The only offer was to stick with them and they would retro fix this. I'm not that stupid.

I switched back to PECO when their gas rates stopped being competitive. They month in between they doubled my gas rate and blamed it on the variations in the market. My bill went from 380 to 680 and almost all of it was the gas charges from CleanSky. Do not use them ever! Did I mention it was the month my wife died. What a kick in the pants!

Deceptive and Unethical Sales Tactics
If you see someone with CleanSky, avoid them at all costs. My wife and I responded to a notification from our utility company from a few months ago saying they were offering a way for us to get renewable energy. We said yes, but hadnt heard anything since.
Yesterday, a rep from CleanSky shows up to our apartment. He had an ID badge and wearing CleanSky apparel. He tells me the company is partnered with National Grid and is just making sure were properly signed up. I asked if this was in regards to the notification that we signed a few months back. He said yes and just needed to see our most recent bill to make sure were getting our credits. The whole interaction seemed odd to me but because I knew we did actually respond to our utility company saying we wanted renewables, I stupidly showed him the bill.
He then said he just needed to enter in some information to confirm we got set up and get my signature confirming we spoke. Again, I stupidly signed it.
After reflecting on the whole incident, I knew something wasnt right and started researching this company. Turns out, this type of sales tactic is common with them and there are posts from people all over warning others about this. They get your information and the sign you up for their service. They dont explain theyre a sales rep or that you will be switching providers. He literally made it seem like they were the company that national grid sent to us to get us set up on the renewables. I looked online and saw they werent even on National Grids vendor list.
I filed a complaint with our Department of Public Utilities. The only reason why I give customer service 3 stars is because I was able to quickly get ahold of a representative and cancel the contract within the 3 day rescind period.
If CleanSky is trying to be a reputable company, they really need to stop these completely unethical tactics and evaluate their sales teams.
Dont make the same mistake I did. Avoid CleanSky reps!

This company calls incessantly! I have never done business with them and never will. My phone number has been on the National Do Not Call Registry since 2008. I get up to six calls a day from multiple phone numbers and they all come up as Cleansky Energy. I have sent an email to their customer service requesting them to stop calling me. I received no response. I have reported them to the FTC for violating the Do Not Call Registry. I will be seeking legal action against them next. I can only imagine how horrendous they must be to deal with as an actual customer!

don't ever trust theri agent saying it's going to be much cheaper. IT'S NOT. I was not really paying attention to such bills until one day I was just curious about how the bill is composed. I suddnely noticed that this company charges twice as the default supplier I used to have. Deceitful door to door sales
The rep came to my door and tried to get me to believe he was from my apt complex. Said he was comparing usage. Filled out forms on his phone then wanted me to authorize. I took the time to read the fine print and realized he was getting me to switch providers. I had repeatedly stated that I had just switched to a provider, but he kept saying vague things about AES. I refused to authorize and shut the door on him. I will NEVER go with this company! Dishonesty and deceitfulness are deal breakers!

I was moved to a "variable" rate without my consent and paid double to triple monthly payments than local PA competitive rates. Clean Sky didn't care about the customer or they would of called to make me aware of the cost increase. When I called about this issue - Customer Service shared they "texted" me however the phone number they had was a land line. It's unfortunate in these times of economic issues-difficulties utility companies take advantage of the customer. When I requested a rebate or a credit - they were "NON-NEGOTIABLE".

Jacked up my rates, THEN wanted to offer me a good rate after I'd left
I was a customer on a fixed rate plan. When that plan expired my rate per thousand cubic feet nearly tripled. When I noticed the increase I shopped around, found a better rate and changed suppliers. After that, the calls started, and even after I said that I had already changed suppliers, they kept calling. After several weeks I finally answered another, which only made me angry. They wanted to offer me a new, lower rate. I know two things, 1) had I not noticed the rate increase CleanSky would have gladly let me continue paying that higher rate for months on end (I noticed it after 2 or 3 months) without an offer of a better rate and 2) had CleanSky contacted me prior to my contract expiring and put 1/4 of the effort they have invested in trying to get me back into offering me a better rate than the gouge-your-eyes-out rate they bumped me up to I would still be a CleanSky customer. Their tactics are underhanded and I won't do business with them again.

This is an absolute scam. The ladies that came to our door told my husband and I that we pay like 14-16 cents per KW with Ohio Edison, and if we switch to their company we would only have to pay 5 cents per KW.
Which is the literal OPPOSITE of what we are currently dealing with now, so they lied straight to our faces acting as if they were doing us a favor.
My bill is more than double. It is the highest it has ever been at this residence and there is absolutely no reason for it. We were also just told that we are stuck until April, due to a contract.
All in all, 0/5 stars.
With that being said, I HIGHLY recommend just sticking with Ohio Edison, customer service helped set us up with a more affordable payment plan until the contract is up.

Clean Sky operates on the lie of 100% renewable energy. There is no such thing! When I asked the pushy sales rep what renewable energy was, his only answer was the opposite of non-renewable. Then claimed windmills and solar. I asked, What if its dark and the wind isnt blowing? Will you shut my power off? The moron got mad. Signing up for this supplier is like a time share. You get notices every couple of weeks you need to sign up again before your three month contract runs out! I didnt have the time and my rate went to 21 cents! A real supplier stopped by and asked why I had the highest rate in the area!!!! I got three years at 9 cents. Clean Sky calls me the next day and offers me 10.5 cents. I told them I had a better deal for three years and less money. The asked if the energy was 100% renewable?!! Its the same wires from the same grid!!! They are scam artists trying to capitalize on save the planet Al Gore propaganda.

Unwanted Calling to my phone that is on do not call registry.
I do not have am account and do not want an account with this company and am very upset with the constant unwanted unsolicited calls 3 and 4 times all hours of the day and night over weeks from this company. This company calls all times of day and night from different phone numbers and hangs up and dose not leave a message. I have put a claim in with the Better Business Bureau with detailed dates and times with the various phone numbers, and a fraudulent claim to the Do not call registry. They send you mail after mail, saying your contract is ending and do you want to get into another contract. Usually, when a customer doesnt respond to those, that means they do not want a new contract and do not want to do business with you anymore. Not clean sky! They will hate your rate up three times what it was and not tell you theyre going to do that, and when you call them about it, they laugh at you, treat you like youre stupid, and when it charges a whole bunch of fees to get them off of your bill. I cant believe people are getting away with this these days.

Be careful if you have solar
I changed from another wind/solar provider to CleanSky. There was no information that they would not honor both a) my own solar panels and b) community solar. Potomac Edison didn't help, but the bottom line is that I was hit after complaining to Potomac Edison with a bill 3 months later that ignored all my solar benefits effectively meaning that I am paying twice since the forced me to pay CleanSky for my Gross kwh before taking into account the Net for Solar (which would have been close to zero). When I talked to CleanSky, they effectively said that I should have known when I ordered online that they didn't explicitly say that they honored solar (Whaaat? Really?). And that if I had called vs used the online ordering they would have warned me (Whaat? Really? can't order online and have solar). This is a scam if you already have solar and they don't care and won't honor the kwh from your solar. This is deceiving practice and evident of a broken system where one is actually penalized for trying to get all their energy from solar or wind instead of gas and coal. Very disappointed and hope that folks see warnings before they consider signing up for companies such as this.

Heres a tip- if I dont reach out to you, DONT CALL ME! I had a one of their sketchy sales reps come to my door and he told me if i switched to them my rate would go from 10 cents a kwh to 5 cents a kwh. there was the first lie. next he told me to call into their company so i could take a survey after and he stood next to me during the entire thing and the survey even tells you to make sure they are not near you during it and he kept telling me what to say for the survey. then as soon as i got my first bill it was double what it normally was. i went from paying $70 to paying $150 a month. i then called to try and cancel and was put on hold for over 30 minutes and then told me that their rate is less than my normal supplier. another lie. they then told me that to cancel i would have to pay $75 which was not disclosed to me when i signed up. now its two months after i have canceled and somehow they are back to being my supplier when i never authorized it. and to add onto the already insufferable time ive had dealing with them this bill i used 100 less kwh then normal and somehow my bill was $160 which is $70 more than the last bill.

The excuse I got, why my bill doubled, they sent a email to let me know I had to renew my contract, or I would be charged double the rate. I responded to the lady. This is not my email, you sent it to. You have my address, why wouldn't you send a letter to the address on my account ? Why wouldn't you call me ? There response was, since we have you on the phone we can lower the rate. I said, no you can cancel my account immediately. I got the response, I am sorry, it will take upto 7 business days to cancel and in those 7 days you will be billed the double rate. After our contract expired, or variable rate increased very minimally. Due to this we continued with Clean Sky energy as our supplier. Within 2 months they over doubled our rate without notice that there was going to be increases monthly. They are criminal in the way they go about their increases without notification. Ripping off Senior Citizens without any Regard
I received a bill for November that is $564.99, which was $231 in February. When I called asking why & for some help on this bill I was told our "Service Expired" and I was being charged 21.9 cents/Kwh. I told them we never received a notice as emails may have gone to scam. The Rep would give me a $50 credit on our NEXT BILL IF WE SIGNED UP TO RENEW OUR SERVICE!! OML are you kidding me????? So SAD a company won't work with a Senior Citizen household that has not been late, or not paid their bills since moving into this home in 1988!!

Theyll give the 'itll only be a few cents to a few bucks more' then when you check your bill its actually 134+ extra dollars tacked on, its a hassle to get them off your bill, they won't stop calling you after you tell them to stop, very dishonest company.

I was suckered into getting this service. I was paying it monthly with my AEP bill. Some how when I canceled I have a $60.97 fee? Now its in collections! I knew nothing about it!!!

I signed up for the electric service, not the gas, since their gas rate was higher than what Peco offers. This is all recorded, then they deny it. We are getting gas bills through the winter that are double what they should be. We were put on a variable plan without our knowledge, or permission. They are a scam. There is no savings here, do yourself a favor and say no thank you. When trying to cancel they'll give you the run around and say it'll take 45 days. This has been an expensive life lesson.

I would stay away from this company. Unethical and scam. They called me and tricked me into subscribing to their service by first falsifying the fact that there was a mistake in my bill, that they had enrolled me in a commercial billing plan instead of residential and I was being charged an incorrect rate and that I am eligible for a refund and that they are rectifying their mistake. The agent introduced himself as someone from New Jersey Gas supply. At first I didn't realize they were not my current supplier. I asked the agent several times that is this about changing my current gas/electricity supplier. He declined. He responded rudely as if he was doing a favor and in return I was questioning too much. He was explaining all the savings and how much extra I paid due to their mistake. Upon asking again he said he is not changing my supplier just correcting their mistake in my billing. He took my details and I got suspicious when he asked me for PoD number and so I asked him again whether this will change my supplier and in the end he said yes this will. He revealed the new supplier as CleanSky energy. I asked him to immediately revert the change. He transferred the call to his supervisor. His supervisor was explaining me the paper work to cancel the subscription. This is not done. This is unethical. You cannot trick someone to subscribe to your service by falsifying. I will never subscribe to your service even if you provide it for free.

Completely ripoff
Being told by a salesperson knocking on my door saying he's from PSE&G and hell knows how did I end up enrolled into this company! I used to pay 12 cents/kwh, and they charge 19.99 cents/kwh on the contract. BUT, they actually charged me 21cents/kwh on the bill, and my bill almost doubled ever since. This price is nowhere close to being competitive to other providers as they claim on the website and by the sales.
And if you want to cancel, sorry, we gonna charge you another $50!!!
Completely rip off!!!! Stay away!

Found out the hard way!! They claim to be the best energy company with the best rates- that's nothing but bullsh*t!! This month their 10 cents more than JCP&L for the month of July!! I don't know about you but I could have used those extra dollars in my pocket not theirs!! Be extremely cautious and keep more of the money you bust your a*ss for!!
