Dishonest Company

  Upon signing up with Just Energy, the agreement was that I would receive a $75 rewards card within 8-12 weeks. After mailing in the rebate form over 4 months ago, I still have not received it. When I call to check on the rewards card everyone gives me a different phone number/website/or email to obtain the status. Then 5 months after having service I started noticing random fees on my bill. Each bill I spend 45 minutes on the phone, sometimes I get the erroneous charges fixed. They are charging me $5 each month because I won't agree to let them automatically deduct my bill from my checking account. I don't trust them and would never agree to that. They make their money by "cramming" fees to their customers.

  Customer Service (cs) with Just Energy is the absolute worst I've ever seen. After agreeing to have my payment taken out of my bank account each month, I asked her if I should go ahead and pay my bill since it was past due. She said "yes". I said "are you sure they won't take it out of my account" and she said "no, they'll see you don't owe anything". Well guess what. $380 taken out of my account 10 days after I had paid the $380. Now it's a month later and I still don't have my money. The 1st two weeks they kept telling me "it will be put back in your account between 3-5 days." Baloney!! Finally after the third week someone said "they won't put it back in your account, they're mailing you a check which could take 3 weeks". Still waiting for my check.

  I was a customer for three years on a five year contract, i called four times to re-negotiate a lower rate from 12 cents to anything lower, would not even call me back. Finally decded to cancel contract, i called first to find out what it would cost me, two times i was told $150.00. final bill came and i was charged $225.00.
If you can reach someone at this company dont believe a word they say...all a bunch of liars!

  They messed up our address repeatedly and we ended up getting threats to have our power cut off if we didn't pay our bill. We never received one since they messed our address up and had to call them to see what was going on. They told us their were late fees and charges added, but didn't say we had any time to pay our bill. Why should we pay for their incompetence on messing up the address!!?!

Switched immediately to another supplier. Customer service rep was demanding immediate payment or we would lost electricity.

Terrible experience all round.

Crooks! Beware of Hidden Charges and Fee's! No Customer Service!

  Signed a one year contract to match my lease (thank God only one year). Signing up was very easy and quick, however when I started getting my bills I was being charged almost $20 a month in BS fees. $10 for paper billing, several dollars for manual payment (mailing in a check), fee's for online payments, etc... They were very rude when I called them on the fee's (and it took several calls and hours to finally get them stopped and partially refunded). After all this our rate is still more than two cents higher than most other plans. I cannot wait to get rid of this shady supplier!

  They got me on 5 year program on my home. I had another house that I had month month with them, no contract. When it was sold they hit me with a $150 cancel fee.I contacted them & they said I was right not to pay it. Just got a cut off notice from them. When you call them expect a 30 minute wait every time!

  I checked my bill this month after several months of receiving them. They have randomly placed $18.00 worth of fees on my account. All of a sudden there is a "manual Pay fee" which is bogus since I always pay online and then there is a "OPT out of Ebill fee " for $10.95. I aksed about a previous bill in which I was charged $9.95 for choosing Ebill. So, they get you comoing or going..... I will be taking two courses of action. BBB as well as report them to the FERC. Actually make it 3. I will be calling my local news station " Take it to Akin " to see if they would like to run a story on the SCAM that they are running...... I have several months to go on this contract, but after that I can assure you I will not be back with this company and if I have anything to do with it, put them out of business or make them pay huge fines....I will also contact my lawyer to see about a clas action on these scammers.

  We got our first bill and paid it on line, they credited it to the wrong account, two weeks later they cut off our power. We tried to contact customer service, what a nightmare. We spent hours on hold only to get transferred to another line. After they finally credited our payment to our account it still took twenty four hours to get our power back on. I don't care what it cost, I'm done with these people.

  just energy has the most pathetic "customer service department " I have ever TRIED to get a hold of' in my life { which I haven't done in 2 months of trying } and how they are still in business I DO NOT KNOW I am fixing to change companies and pay a higher electric rate just because of the service or THE LACK OF IT they are charging me for 2 different accounts and I can't find out WHY because NO ONE WORKS THERE

  I am sick at my stomach... My bill has been wrong for 4 months. My average billing is $360 per month and in the last 12 months I have consumed 25% less energy. They want to raise my average billing to $550 month. To get out they quoted me a $1900 cancellation fee.SCAM

  I moved and orginally called about Gexa energy but the lady informed me I could get cheaper energy. Which is with this crappy company. First bill was $68 with the $9.95 service charge for 4 days worth of service with 3 kwh of usage...are you kidding me? Everything has been fine for the last 4 months until this bill. A $3.50 charge for not choosing to do E-bill and a $4.95 charge for bill pay because I use the automated service and not the auto pay.I called to ask them and the customer service idiot informed me he could help but could only keep me on the line for 5 minutes because of other customers calling in. Mind you I was on hold myself for 45 minutes waiting on someone to answer the phone. Poor customer service. I should of listened to the reviews the day after signing up and I should of cancelled my service that day. Customer beware!!!

  Acct #4940912 I paid my bill for the month of July, and have been waiting to hear from a representative about giving me credit for the month of August. This happened in July when I received a call from Nic ext 78259 saying my service was scheduled to be cut off. I paid the bill again and have never heard a word from anyone. It is now August. I have received another bill in the amount of $541.84. How can I make a recommendation to anyone about this service when I am being put through this.

  I have never been able to talk to a person at this company since I first signed on with them. The wait time goes from 15 min. to 10 min. and then back to 15 min. over and over. When you give up and react to their prompt to leave a call back number, they never call back. Left a call back number now for the fourth time in three weeks, no calls back. Their customer service stinks.

  Just try calling 1-866-5878674. It's a joke. Long delays I between selections. You'll get disconnected for no reason. No call back when you leave your call back number Ect. Plus i am reporting them to the PUC for charging way more than stated on the facts sheet. Just switched to stream energy. Forget about the 2 $75.00 gift cards for the 2 accounts I had.

JUST ENERGY IS TERRIBLE!!!

  I signed up with Just Energy from The Power to Choose website. They were supposed to turn on my electricity on July 13th, but did not. Only July 16th-I still had no service and they would not expedite my installation request and said July 19th was the earliest they could get it set up. I ended up having to switch to Reliant Energy who got out the same day as I asked (July 17th). I talked to the director along with others at Just Energy and they ensured me that they cancelled my request on the 19th. Today, I got a bill in the mail from Reliant Energy for only 2 days - Just Energy never cancelled the request for the 19th and took over my service anyway (without my knowledge). Now I cannot switch back to Reliant because my account is frozen for only being activated for 2 days. DO NOT EVER SIGN UP WITH JUST ENERGY!!! It's the biggest mess that I've ever had to deal with. They make claims and will not even give you a confirmation number so there is not way to even have evidence of anything that happens. I am on the phone now waiting to talk to someone and it's already been 30 minutes and I haven't gotten through to anyone. The wait time to speak to a representative has been over 30 minutes EVERY time i've called. If you don't want to sit on hold in tears dealing with idiotic people for hours of your life - DO NOT GO WITH JUST ENERGY!!!!!!

  I signed up with them for one of my rental units. At the time of sign up, all I was told was my rate. I rented my unit two weeks after signing up and called to cancel my service. I was informed that it would take 3 days and that my renter's electric would be turned off. I was told I should have called them a week earlier. No one had given me this information when I signed up. When I signed up, I did tell them that this was a rental unit and that I would cancel as soon as I rented it. I held on the telephone for twenty minutes before I was able to talk to someone and they hung up on me. Please, Please, do not sign up with this company.

  do not sign with them!!!! I never had the chance to speak with anyone from customer service since I signed with them. Please don't make the same mistake as I did, worst worst people ever to work with. Forget about the promotions and deals. I would never recommend this company to anyone, all the bulb that are not lighten on my reviews means zero (0) percent .
