They offer the lowest price for the first month, which is 0.08 for only first month and from second bill it is based on market price. But even for the first month it is a lie. They always sending the first bill for 4-5 days, since they are going to give you the bill from the second bill as higher price based on the market price.
they said this is because you order was at the middle of the cycle and it is out of our hand. We send you bill at the time that center point check your meter. But I don't believe it.
The other thing, you have to be careful with the customer service, they will tell you something and then again that charge will be appear at your next month bill. Again you have to call them to dispute. They will waive it but as a favor not this was their fault. This way some people will be tired and not calling them. Just imagine how much they can earn if they make such mistakes in their thousands customer bills. ”

Beware of the Just Energy sales tactics especially if you are a senior citizen. They misrepresent their
company as being part of the state, use scare tactics saying new technology will cause rising costs
in electric service and belittle your intelligence with " you obiously are not informed, and don't watch the news." The salesman Did Not introduce himself as a Just Energy employee in spite of his "$40. Logo
Jacket" I was polite, but not interested. He left muttering that he would mark me down as not wanting to save money. This company reminds me of an online scam. Shame on unproffessional business practices. ”
“ Just Energy is the worst electric company I have ever dealt with in my life. I have had electric service all over the country and from many different companies some with a monolopy and they could not compare to how bad JUST ENERGY is. I even had a nasty man call me saying he was from Just Energy but the phone number on my caller ID was from KOCH BROTHERS COMPANY. KOCH BROTHERS COMPANY was not happy that this guy was using their number somehow and I hope they got to the bottom of it when the lady told me they would do a complete investigation. I don't know how he did it but I do know Just Energy refuses to give a real phone number that you can call them at or an address where you can write to them. I also got screwed by not getting a $100 VISA card I was promised to sign on and so did my son who recommended Just Energy to me. STAY AWAY FROM JUST ENERGY. EVIL IS TOO NICE A WORD FOR THEM. THANK GOD MY CONTRACT IS UP! ”

“ I had a sales rep come to my door and told me I could APPLY to see if we qualified for their services. I asked the person more than once if I really was just APPLYING and not actually signing up for anything and she told me yes. So here I am thinking I'm just going through the process to see if we would get "approved" all the while I'm actually being signed up. They tell you you have 3 days to decide whether you want the service or not. So I call to cancel right away. Of course it's a Saturday and their "canceling people" aren't there (how convenient). So I call back on Monday and cancel and am told everything is good. LITTLE DID I KNOW.. the moment I was "approved" my previous electric company got terminated. I now owe my previous company quite a bit of money for terminating, PLUS I will most likely owe Just Energy since apparently we have been using them for the past few days. And to top it all off, we may have to go without electricity for some time until this is all sorted out because we canceled Just Energy and our previous provider was canceled too, leaving us with NO ONE. And I refuse to stay with Just Energy. I wasn't even truly a customer and I am more disappointed/enraged than I have ever been with a company. JUST STEER CLEAR OF THEM. DO NO DO IT. They are ridiculous people who LIE just so they can probably get a commission or something. I really regret ever opening my door. ”

Just Energy's sales people will mislead you in the sales process to believe that their company's rates are lower, and that there are no cancellation fees. In fact when I checked my bill, my rates had jumped over 20%, and the demanded a $50 cancellation fee. I was told I could NOT speak to a manager in the service division, and their conflict resolution team has not yet produced my contract or voice recordings approving the transfer.
Stay away from this company, their sales practices are unethical and misleading. If you have friends that signed up for their "Lower Rates" do them a favor and help them get out as soon as possible. ”
“ This company is a scam. The salesman are lying to you! Your bill will be over $80, the salesman cannot guarantee you that it won't. He also told me the company I was with was charging me double per kWh which was a lie. They also start deducting from the $200 immediately. My bill for 3 days was $25. I read the reviews and I still let the salesman talk me into it. Oh, before I forget you will have a 5 year contract. And I don't work for TXU. The salesman told me that they investigated all the reviews and they came from TXU. PLEASE save yourself the headache! Stay with the company you are with!!!!!! ”
“ I had a just energy D2D agent come to my house saying it was going be cheaper cause of green energy and that it was locked in priece for life well long story short once i got my bill i saw a $50 green energy charge and when i called to cancel my contract they said it was for 5 years and if i wanted to cancel it be $75 per year i had left on contacrt idk what compeny would force customer to sign 5 year cintract it should be illegal so should the green energy charge ”

My fiance signed us up for this company after she had been promised LOWER fixed rates for our gas bill. Our gas bill has increased by 5x the normal amount since signing up with this company!!! I've talked to over 5 representatives trying to get detached from Just Energy and have gotten nothing but HUGE gas bills as well as hours of time wasted trying to talk to them! Because i pay bills mid month (not the 1st) the bill is always about 3 weeks late.
Disconnect notices almost monthly and 3 times (in the past year) working at home, boom power out!
I have never ever been disconnected before. The call every month threatening to disconnect.
I know I know I should have switched away. I am now doing that and bill went from $200 to $622. Not on any plan, some true flat rate bs. I don't think so, nope you will not see that out of my pocket. ”
“ I switched from TXU last year to Just Energy and I highly reccomend anyone who has had it with the big monopolized companies like TXU. My bills used to average about 200.00 monthly with TXU and now for a little over a year with Just Energy we have had 100.00 average bills now!!!! Thank yo Just Energy and also everytime I talk to any customer service agent they are in USA NOT OUTSOURCED like TXU ot Direct Energy who is a subsidiary of Centrica a Brittish company. Rates have been good, customer service very poor. Charges of $4.95 to pay your bill online or check. You have less than a two week period to pay your bill. If you are late by one day you receive a disconnect notice and TWENTY DOLLARS $20.00 IS ADDED TO YOUR BILL. fraud, fraud..............late fees in Texas cannot be more than 5%................they call this a disconnect fee............so folks, just add another $25.00 to your bill.

It seems like every month my bill goes up, now they charging for sending out disconnection notices.
Times are rough and low income families like mines might pay our bill a little late. But should we be charged a late fee along with a fee for sending a notice. A late fee is one thing. But extra fees. I have been with this company for a while now, and OMG. ”
“ These people are ridiculous and have no idea how to create customer loyalty. Outsourcing customer servive to India-BAD idea. If you are late, by ONE day, please expect to be charged a myriad of fees. If you call and spend 30 minutes on hold, they will remove a small portion of the fees as a credit on your account. Maybe anyway, or maybe they just tell you that to get you off the phone. I am stuck for another 4 and 1/2 years but will be moving the very day my contract expires. ”
