“ it is a scam I am a member of sams club I was shopping there and a just energy agent approached me and asked how much I was paying for electricity i said 250$ she said it too much she can help pay a lower electricity with just energy that I will save money. I said okay . And she enrolled me with just energy the first month my bill was 150 , second month 156$ and then it started going up 4 month later 400 $ and up I had to cancel the service when my lease end they sent me a final bill of 731 and threatening me to take it to collections if I don't pay i feel betrayed ripped lied used and I try to call customer service hold more than 1 hour no answer . When I called to cancel the customer service said he can find a better plan for me save money i told him that I was promised before I enrolled. It is so ridiculous. I need help to make it right ”
“ An agent came out and sold to me, unknowing placed me in a 5 yr contract instead of the typical 2yr. I had switched companies as my bill jumped quite high expectantly. I had someone call in regard to my switch, he called to confirm I was aware of the 2yr contract. I told him that was fine I would pay the exiting fee. He then called back laughing stating I was in a 5 year contract. I called over and over again to speak with someone about the exiting fee. I finally received a call back and she was requesting a payment. I was advised if I was to pay x amount the remainder fee would be waived. A couple weeks later I received another email advising I still owed x amount. I tried contacting every phone number listed on every email with no luck of reaching anyone. I finally used google as if I was interested in being a new customer. Set on hold for 3 hours to only be advised they had no record of the fee being waived. ”
“ I can set in the dark with no air for a month and my electric bill is still very high I can not hear to call so if I can't afford to buy food for a month after paying my bills I just do without ”

I was hospitalized for a month. During this time my family moved my belongings out my apartment. My bill was not paid while I was hospitalized. On the day after being released, I paid my bill in full. Later that day, I received a text about my account. Upon calling the number, the agent was rude about the questions I asked. I also asked about my Just Energy Peak Points, that I accumulated doing paying my bill on time and I thought I was a valued customer. Have about 9,500 points which I can covert to a gift cards. I feel disrespected by this company, because I had illness, and needed to hospitalized, I been denied of points, I earned. And the by the way, I was in the V.A. Hospital.

“ Since I started with this company, I have had nothing but problems with customer service, the information with customer service associates is inconsistent and horrible service. In times of crisis, they seem to not be willing to help people in hard times. I do not recommend this company whatsoever. The guy that connected me to it Ian Chufani and ended giving me alot of wrong information that I had verified with him from the beginning of me signing a contract and turned out to be a lot of wrong information and incorrect rates. To hell with this damn company. ”

I am trying to pay online, system is not capable taking my payment.
I call all the numbers available some are not answering only one answers and I have been on hold over 39 minutes while I am typing this unacceptable experience. In brief I have been trying to pay the bill for last 3 days it is impossible. I just have to mail it in that is not convenient at this times of COVID19.
I canceled my service with this tyrons and unprofessional company that charging me 16 cents per Watt. few cents more I understand 6 cents more is highway rubbery. ”

“ They are QUICK to disconnect you. If your payment is only a day or two late. Seriously, not kidding!! I also set up auto pay and for some reason, it stopped. One time I paid it the day after the payment due date. It never registered my payment and they shut me off. I got back online and paid it. Now Ive been on the phone for 46 min and counting, waiting to see about getting it back on. They say you can use live chat through the customer portal. There is no option for live chat. Ive never had more problems with a provider. Their free nights are a joke. It doesnt save you any money. I have higher bills now than I did before them. That early termination fee is looking to be worth the money. THEY ARE GARBAGE! Do not use them. I would love to see them go out of business. ”
“ We (wife and I) have been with Just Energy for a few years, last Sept we moved into our house with not much issues until this Spring (2020). We noticed a spike in our bill with May, there was no change in our electricity usage that we could find, we keep the AC around 74 degrees. Massive jump in June, called them on July 16th, first two reps could not give me a reason of whatsoever for the jump, could not explain how our next bill for Aug. was going to be in the mid $300 range when it generally runs in the mid $100 range. Finally spoke to a rep who gave me a 1 year contract of $155 beginning for the July bill then on for the next 11 months. After this my wife is receiving calls for more money, I then spoke with a supervisor who listened to the July 16th call, after a 1.5 hour call she got back to me profusely apologizing about all the headaches, that we have no previous balance. Then the calls happened again, more managers, more headaches with no resolution. ”

“ The company is terrible. Charges you if your little lights spontaneously go out to come and fix the problem. The app is the only way to pay your bill without additional charge, but the app doesnt work properly so they force you to pay by phone and therefore pay additional charges. Very unethical. Dont use this company. ”
“ My husband called for a quote to compare with our current energy provider when we were deciding to relocate closer to his place of business. The representative asked for his name and address in which my husband replied, I just want a quote. I dont want to be charged anything. The representative assured him he would not be charged, so he continued. After comparing rates, we decided to continue with our current provider. A little over a month later, we got charged a energy bill from JustEnergy, and a late charge. We called to correct the mistake because we had not authorized any agreement with the company. After several phone calls with unhelpful costumer service members, we were given a confirmation code to speak with a manager. The manager, Cheryl, was immediately rude upon answering her phone. Replying to my husband, Oh, Ive been trying to reach you several times, in an arrogant voice. (I had left my number to call. My husband wasnt expecting the call because he hadnt left his cellphone number on the notes for this case. If they had called the number listed in the notes of the issue, then I wouldve gotten the call -which I had been expecting.) The manager confirmed that we had just called for a quote, but claimed we still agreed to the payment regardless whether it was through the representatives manipulation/lying. Did I mention we dont even live in the apartment they are trying to charge us for?! We called for a quote on an apartment unit that we ended up not even moving into!!! I honestly dont see how this could be legal. Do NOT use JustEnergy! They are crooks, liars and manipulators! Its so sad that a manager would allow her staff to manipulate and lie to people and try to force payments on unsuspecting persons. If all of that didnt sound bad enough, JustEnergy reached out to my current service provider to cancel my business with them!!!!! I had to call my current provider (whom I had been with for almost 2 years) to ensure them I had not authorized any change request and wished to continue receiving their services. How is that legal?! Seriously, save yourself the heartache and stay as far away from this company as possible. ”

“ My husband and I called for a quote to compare with our current provider upon switching apartments. The representative claimed they needed information about the service address in order to provide a quote. Before giving any information, we stated several times that we just wanted a quote and did not want to sign up for anything we would later be charged for. The representative ensured that we would not be charged anything, so we proceeded. A month later, we receive a notice for a late energy bill claiming we owed Just Energy $81. We called customer service to inform them of the error and was told that we agreed to the charges. After zero help and many calls with incompetent representatives, I received a confirmation number for our case and was informed that a manager would contact us within 5 to 10 business days. On the phone, the manager agreed that we had stated several times that we were only wanting a quote, but claims we agreed to a contract with them. (The representative initially helping us NEVER mentioned we needed to cancel anything he did with us in order not to be charged). This company LIES and MANIPULATES people! You can't trust anything they say. Stay as FAR away from this company as possible. Did I mention they are charging us for an apartment that we don't even live in nor have we ever lived in??? ”

“ Do not overpay and have a credit with these people . I used to pay an overpayment of about $300 to $400 to keep my bill where I wouldn't have to pay it until the money went down to around $75. I sold my house and when I went to ask for my over age which is around $270 they refuse to pay it because they said they weren't responsible for me over paying. I don't have the mental capacity or time to fight these people but that's illegal ”
“ Just Energy promised that their prices would be more than half what I was paying with Reliant. We have had them for 3 months now and all 3 bills have been at least double what I was paying with Reliant. Also they promised a $45 gift card to Sams Club for signing up with them and I have never received it. This company is a scam and they are liars. Check elsewhere if you are looking for an energy company. I am switching back to reliant ASAP. I would give them zero stars if I could. ”
“ I met with Just Energy when I was shopping at a store. Just Energy agent told me that I would be paying less with Just Energy. I asked them about their rates but they told me that they cannot provide me rates without signing up. They told me it is easy to cancel after signing up. I signed up and realized that the rate is not lower than the rates with my existing electricity provider. I have been demanding to cancel my enrollment with Just Energy to stay with my existing provider. Otherwise I will be paying additional cancellation fees due scam Just Energy Agent lying people to make them sign up to get a commission. ”
