(July to Aug 2023) with no change in my usage. I canceled and switched back, but 4 months later, still paying double than what I was before switch....takes several billing cycles to get them off...still waiting ”

I was deceived into switching my electric supplier to American Power & Gas LLC
With promise of big savings over National Grid in upstate New York. Smooth talking salesperson convinced me to switch 3 accounts. 1st bill I got was double that from my original supplier. Immediately called to cancel, I am now 4 months later and have paid $312. More than I was paying before with no change in my normal usage. I called them again and apparently they never canceled, sent me a check for $157.35. Less than 1/2 of what has cost me so far. I am a senior on very fixed income. Be aware if you try to cancel that you will be charged until your next meter reading date and will take several billing cycles before actually get switched. I'm still waiting and being billed their outrageous prices.
Rate charged by Am Power & gas for electric only was .2226 plus tax per KWH, compared to my original Supplier: National Grid @ .0715 per KWH. DON'T SWITCH

“ Got a letter in the mail from PECO confirming my transfer to this company as my business's electric provider. Only hitch is - I never even spoke with anyone from the company, let alone gave permission for them to switch me. I never even listen to sales pitches about switching. So I had to waste my morning calling PECO to switch me back and then calling All American Power & Gas to make sure they weren't going to charge me a cancellation fee for the service I never agreed to. When I asked the woman at AAPG customer service if she could tell me who allegedly gave them permission to switch my provider (I run a small business, I'm the only employee) she said she didn't have access to that information, "due to privacy concerns." Complete scam. ”
“ As another reviewed has noted, I received a letter from PECO confirming my supplier switch to this company. Only hitch is - I never authorized a switch at all. And, of course, the letter came the same day the switch went into effect. PECO switched me back to my previous supplier when I called them, but now I'm trying to contact All American Power and Gas to make sure they don't try to scam a cancellation fee from me and their phone lines are cutting in and out every time I call. Complete scam. ”
“ I got a letter from Peco saying I switched to All American Power and Gas. I most certainly did not. Not only did they charge me a higher rate but the lady was rude in answering my questions on how this happened. Her answer was must have been a clerical error in the system. I highly doubt that given the reviewer above me also had the same thing happen to their business account. These companies are incredibly shady and after my previous experience with doing this vowed I would never do it again. When asked who I can report this to she told me she didn't know who regulates them and when I try to log a formal complaint on the PApowerswitch site none of the options for logging a complaint fit. I guess this why they can continue to get away with this stuff. ”
“ I had never heard of this company until I received my letter from Peco stating I had switched to them as my new supplier. Called Peco had it changed back then called All American Power. They said it was a clerical error...They seem to have a lot of clerical errors.....Open those letters from Peco you never know what's inside. ”
“ Got suckered into the 0.0999/kwh pricing only for the second month to be 0.1239, third month is 0.17084, and fourth month was 0.197632. Nearly double the electric rate in just a few months. While the "General supplier" option was still offering 0.0999 from their end. Do not fall for any of their sign up offers, or you will also end up losing hundreds of dollars to this company as I did. ”

This company continually calls my husbands cell phone and tells him to get our National Grid bill and look at page three. Like others, he tells her nicely we aren't interested, only to hang up and have her call back immediately! They keep telling him our electric bill has gone up 40% and that we have not responded to National Grid, and they are waiting for an answer. My husbands name and number are NOT in any way shape or form connected to our electric bill. So we have no idea how they got his information.
These people are harassing and scammers. We have blocked their number (which shows up as local and unknown) and I am reporting them to National Grid as well as BBB and FCC. ”
“ I got a phone call one day and the rep asked me if I wanted to go over my electric bill so he could save me money. I told him so nicely that I was not interested. He kept going on (a little stronger). Again I told him that I was not interested. He insisted further. He asked my "why" and I told him again bicely that I was not interested. This was the 3rd time and he kept on goinf. So I politely hung up the phone. Well, he called me back and started badgering me. I told him that even if I was interested that he turned me off so much that I would never go with his company. He went on a further rage where I got really upset with him and hung up. A compny that has someone like that to represent them is not going to go very far. I also heard from others that you will save money for a couple of months and then the rates could go up as much as 200%. Stay away from this company. If they call you, just hang up. they do not deserve a second of your time. ”
“ Signed up for a 3 month fixed rate at 11c/kwh (PP&L was 14 at the time). 3 months ran out and I switched to another provider that was 12c assuming the price would jump. Within an hour of switching I had a representative from American Power & Gas reach out and ask why I was changing. They assured me that if the rate was going to go up at all, I would be notified. Pushed even harder with the 1 year bonus program yada yada, so I canceled the order to switch companies. 1 month later... My charge jumps to 16c/kwh with no notification at all. I just happened to notice it on my bill. I'm not even sure how this behavior is allowed. Fuck this company. ”
“ Started me out on electric at .849per kwh, second month was .949, has gone up every month since, now at .1589 per kwh, run from these shysters as fast as you can! They got me like this years ago, gave a song and dance this time, our management has changed, it won't happen this time, well there is no difference at all,straight out lies! ”
