The salesperson came to my home and said he could get me a better rate, which he did, but my bill was still high because of delivery charges. My last company had a higher rate, but delivery charges were not more than 7 dollars. Example is below.

My Kwh was 660, and my bill is 120 dollars for a two-bedroom bathroom apartment. I was misled for sure. ”

“ I signed up at Sam's club. I thought this would be a great deal. Not. My bill was twice the price I was paying. I was told at Sam's club when I signed up that there wasn't an early cancellation fee for Sam's club members. I also called customer service for Just Energy. Customer service also told me that there was no early cancellation fee for Sam's club members. What a lie. I paid my last bill and I paid the $150 they credited me for early termination of my other electric company. I only had 2 days left in my other contract. Lol yes I wasn't thinking in the middle of grocery shopping. So no my early cancellation fee for Just Energy is in collection for a $183. I always pay my bills on time. Why should I pay something I shouldn't had too. ”

New review for today: Sat 5/18/2024
Ive been a Just Energy customer for years now and on 5/9/2024 I did a payment arrangement to avoid disconnection on my service. Payment went through but never received an email confirmation by Just energy like I normally receive with the terms. Today 5/18/24 Saturday Im speaking to a representative over the phone a guy most likely from India about not receiving my payment confirmations like I normally receive them and he blames me that it is my email address or email domain at fault. He then tests and sends over a bill through email while on the phone and comes through right away with no issues and along with a survey for me to answer, but not a bill of confirmation of payments made. He explained he wont fix anything on their end nor bring it to the attention to their IT because Im just one customer complaining about the payment issue and no one else is. This is terrible customer service and I tell him how are we supposed to be making payments, if we wont have any proof of payments being made with no confirmations? I can always change companies for this reason since I do not have the trust in Just Energy to just take their word that payments are going through, when I cant get proof by email nor mail that payments are going through.? This will not work for me! Either fix the issue with payment confirmations that customers can receive by email or you will loose a customer over this. He tells me he wont do it and he cant stop me from leaving to another company. Very lack of respect on his part with customers. If one customer service representative does not care and says words like that, trust me when I say no one else in that company will care either. The rep and most likely the whole company believe that customers not receiving their payment confirmations are not a big deal! and that will allow them power over customers to decide when or when not to disconnect your service since their is no proof of payments. This is a bad company for business!! And I am currently searching for new service elsewhere online as we speak. Because just like that rep told me over the phone he cant keep me from leaving. He was right! They lack empathy. My concern is I need to know where my money is going to with proof. Not your word. Your word means crap. No confirmation receipts no payment made. The way I see it. You dont care for customers, then we do not care for you! and we will take our hard earned money and go somewhere else where we are truly valued customers. And no false advertisements ”
“ I have been with Just Energy for over 10 years. I spoke with 2 representatives recently and signed a new contract. I recorded our conversation and so did Just Energy. The representative explained everything thoroughly and I agreed and signed up that day. The agreement was my next bill will be $99 + shipping cost + taxes. My bill should be somewhere near $120 - $130. On the phone I wanted clarified again. We both agreed that my next bill will be that amount. My next bill was $302. After letting the company review our conversation of our verbal agreement, they agree that what I say is true. BUT they will not honor the agreement. The employee made a mistake. I understood that the new contract would start the day I signed it. They understood that they screwed up and said sorry. Not good enough. I definitely feel like I have been scammed. Not happy at all. Talking to their customer service is like talking to a wall. ”

“ Have an account in PA called customer (866) 587-8674 (Number that is in my bill) service and nobody is able to connect me to PA to close my account because of course instead of helping, my bill has increased double after Im with Just Energy, none of the number customer service provided worked, even more, none of the customer service knew how to put me in contact with PA, they continue transferring me going round and round for 4 hours. This people are literally stealing $$ from me. I have evidence of every single second, minute, hour, day, week etc etc 24/7 when power is used and this building is used only for storage maybe 30 minutes a day average only lights. If nobody calle me, Im gonna close the account with PECO buy a generator (because is all I need due to the use of this location) and wont pay this bill. This is the worst experience Ive ever had with any service company. ”
“ Pitched in a sams club for promotionl rates but misled about specific details and coerced into a contract for their electric billing service. I have cancelled the contract I didn't realize I signed and am hoping I do not see financial reprecussions. ”
“ Salesman ran up on me and my husband as we were bringing groceries into the house, and my husband told him no thank you. Dude proceeded to yell "Don't close the door!" as we did, because we told him no already. Proceeds to knock on our door after we shut it. We tell him to go away, not interested through the door. He knocks again, ignore it. Knocks again, husband knocks back hoping he'll get the hint. He knocks again, I yell at him to **** off through the door because why the hell is he still there? He's reading as crazy/dangerous at this point. He knocks AGAIN and my husband has to finally open the door and yell at him before he finally leaves us alone. Except now I'm getting text messages from this guy Tarrick saying he talked to my roommate (she also told him to leave us alone) and asking me when the best time to speak is. Why the does this unstable man have my phone number??????? ”

Price, contract, exit fees etc. Luckily for me, the no deposit wavier was denied before they even ran a credit check and I actually read the agreement I signed. I tried to contact "my representative" but customer service is in India and it is impossible to do regardless of what I was told. ”

I recently had a terrible experience with Just Energy, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn others about their deceitful practices.
First and foremost, Just Energy misled me into believing that their energy rates were cheaper than my local utility provider, ComEd. However, after switching to their service, I discovered that this couldn't be further from the truth. Not only were their rates higher, but they also failed to inform me about the additional charges hidden within the contract agreement.
One of the most egregious charges I encountered was the mysterious "green leaf" program, which purportedly added $40 to my bill every month. I never consented to this program, nor was I provided with any explanation of its purpose. When I reached out to their customer service for clarification, I was met with hostility and intimidation tactics. They repeatedly threatened me, claiming that all calls were recorded, and refused to address my concerns.
Furthermore, communicating with their customer service representatives was a nightmare. They are difficult to understand, making it nearly impossible to effectively communicate my issues.
Despite being at work for the majority of the day and living in a modest two-bedroom apartment, my energy bills skyrocketed after switching to Just Energy. Instead of the promised savings, I found myself facing bills that were triple the amount I was accustomed to paying.
Overall, my experience with Just Energy has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their deceptive practices, exorbitant charges, and appalling customer service have left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. I urge anyone considering their services to proceed with extreme caution and explore alternative options to avoid falling victim to their unethical business practices. ”

Someone came to my door and try to talk me into switching my company I said no now I woke up this morning to find out this company was able to steal my choices about who I do business with and have the nerve to tell me welcome to their company without my consent
I have no intention of staying anywhere I chose not to go so just energy you can go to hell and take your company with you. ”
“ I was guaranteed to never have a bill in excess of $50.00 a month. Only because I only use less than 500 kwh per month or less. On my first bill it was 16 days and they charged me 26.2 cents per kwh which was nowhere near what I was guaranteed to be charged. I was told no more than 16 cents which was obviously a gigantic lie. All this was done at Sam's club and if they knew how badly the people were being lied to, there's no way in hell Sam Walton would allow a company to use his name to perpetrate such a huge lie in his family name. There is no way I will pay the bill they sent me all based on the lies I was told by such a terrible company. I told the representative I would only pay what I was promised to change my electric company to the joke that I'm stuck with now. ”

I would like to cancel this contract. I was at Kroger when your representative approached me yesterday. He quoted me a rate of 6.9 cents per kilowatt. When I got home and read this contract, it states over 8 cents per kilowatt. Please cancel this NOW! And inform your representatives to say the truth! He did not show me what I was signing, just told me to hit the blocks for automatic signatures. The blocks and writing was so small I couldnt read it. I am very upset. Please address this request ASAP! I do not want to wait for the billing cycle to start!

“ Some guy name Nana Buah PUC Certificate No. 10052 forced me to sign a contract at SAM's Club promising 9 cents per KW but turned out to be 26.5 cents per KW and within the less than 2 months my bill is $400 they are threatening to disconnect tomorrow Nov 9. I filed a complaint but they don't give a flip, since they are in India! ”
“ Run. Ask them if they have a cancelation charge. If this comapny comes to you from a venue, know why they are marketing this way. If they tell you they will not charge you for canceling your service, I have a picture of this lie. I had to cancel my service because one, their online portal would not show me a current bill. Two , would not even allow me to set up auto pay and not allow me to make a payment online. Three, took over one hour on the phone and I had to hang up because i could not wait for a service rep over the phone, and the last straw was when the one time i reached a rep said, WELL you cannot have the late fee cancelled because you could have paid thorugh our automated phone payment. I told her i was not gpoing to auto pay a high bill with out having someone tell me what all the charges were. SO IF YOU DO sign up, and you read this. make sure you cancel within 15 days. The law allows this, according to what a relative has told me. I had a vdeo of the sales person telling me there would be no cancelation fee. Bold. Yet It was accidentally deleted. ”
“ My husband was approached at a 'wholesale club' by a Just Energy representative and was given a good pitch although he stated he would not agree to make a change to their company until he discussed it with me. He was told he would receive an email with all details and had three days to confirm or reject the offer. We never received an email, a phone call or any communication from them. It took us four days of trying their phone numbers to get through and was hung up on multiple occasions. Nice!! Just Energy was able to change our provider, without our authorization. How they were able to accomplish that move without our electric company account information is quite scarey! I would never recommend them, to say the least. Be warned. ”
“ I was stopped at the grocery store promised this great deal. Well now I'm it for almost $600 dollars with all the fees. I was on there service for 1 month they basically said too bad to sad. Do not fall for this company. What waste of my time and money. I thinks I will report them to the BBB as well ”
