Completely dumbfounded

  I started today out by chatting with Anita who couldnt understand what I was typing and directed me to sign in to my account, where I clicked on chat again and viola...ANITA. I then attempt to ask questions thinking ok I am logged in, verified this should be easy peasy...nope. I was redirected to an agent who wasnt helpful at all either barely allowed any time to ask a question before closing out the conversation. So I decided to call in...bad move. K spoke with Paul first who was so rude no empathy hugging and puffing like he was annoyed by me when he asked me for my account # and I said oh ok hold on let me get it but it was ok for him to ask me for my name that I had given him at the beginning of the call. Paul proceeded to assist. I let Paul know I have been out of work since 7/30, due 3 of my younger kids getting Covid then I did myself. I returned to work today and also received a disconnect notice with today date over the weekend. I let him know I am not able to pay anything
today, need to know my options. Paul
proceeded to answer, without even acknowledging the fact that k had Covid no empathy anything. He let me know I could pay $156 and some change within 24 hrs of today and remaining amount within 10
Days. He stated my disconnect date was actually today so it needs to be paid today or my services will be disconnected tomorrow. I let him know thats not possible tried to let him know I understand the payment arrangement great can I get a couple more days on the disconnect date or protection on my account at least until 8/25 which I can pay then he of course says no and tells me to call 2-1-1. I couldnt believe this so I request a supervisor. He transfers me to Jabeed who is apart of the escalation que. Jabeed comes on the phone guns a blazing. I ask him for his name and he tells me I need to listen to him cause he is going to tell me what to do. I am instantly offended. He begins to huff and puff annoyed and ready to react to my request instead of respond based on what he heard from Paul. His introduction to our convo set the tone for the call. He told me I need to pay half today and the remaining amount in 10 days. I let him know I cant pay until 8/27, 4 more days I need my account to be protected until that date and then I can pay the remaining half the following Friday on 9/3. He refused to work with me and advised me to call 211 and maybe they can help me even though my electricity will be disconnected tomorrow, 2 of your representatives gave me this an option. Even so kindly told me there were no disconnect notices sent out in February what does that have to do with today?? I paid on time then. I had already confirmed he was apart of an escalation team not a supervisor AP k then requested a supervisor and he refused. Gave the standard reply for your company, his words not mine. I cant speak with anyone above him cause he has to email someone and they call me back within 24-28 hrs. I explained to him several times how would that help me if I have a disconnect notice for today? I would not hang up until I spoke with someone. He continued to be rude then he just went silent for about 15 minutes no hold music hoping I would hang up. I said hello no response then I let him know if he placed me on hold he should have actually placed me on hold so I could hear the music. He begins to say he didnt put me on hold but couldnt explain why he went silent he was not reaching out to a supervisor at the time. I explained to Jabeed several times that I only needed time to pay until 8/25 I could pay half of the balance and remaining amount by 9/3. He insisted I could not pay by then. I mentioned the notice I have shows 8/24. At this point is when I realized Jabeed had not actually reviews my account, as he stated hold on let me review your account to see the disconnect date. This was an hour into the call. He only provided me with information given by Paul. They were set to show me, and they did. AN ENTIRE HOUR BEFORE HE REVIEWED MY ACCOUNT. He apologized for this and at this point he FINALLY began to message his supervisor in an attempt to resolve this issue. His supervisor which is a she refused to speak with me and he refused to give me her name. In order to at least protect my account until 11:59pm on 8/24 as Jabeed mentioned, I agreed to the arrangement he offered to pay 25% of the past due amount. When he was setting this arrangement up at that moment he realized that I did have until 8/25 at 11:59pm to pay not 8/24 at 11:59pm. We went through all this for it to be as I requested. He so rudely told me, you didnt say 8/25. I reminded me of how many times I mentioned that date but he didnt hear me cause he refused to help me. We set the arrangement up and I am still unsure if it is correct since my confidence in Jabeed in this company is so low. This representative, Paul, and the supervisor that assisted treated me so unfairly just to be right and bottom line cruel. They didnt listen they saw my name heard my voice and instantly made the decision to not help me. I cant help but wonder if they saw the name Karen, would they have given better assistance. Is this how your company trains to treat your customers? Especially during times such as these?? He was so belittling and disrespectful when all I need was for my account to be protected from disconnection until 8/26 instead o8/24 cause I could make the half payment on 8/25 at this point to appease this company. I refused to go to 2-1-1. Thats for customers who truly need assistance, I can pay. I just fell on hard times. I have referred 6 of my family members to this company and my daughter is enrolling in September and I am up for renewal. I would like for an AVP or above to call me back ASAP. Not a team lead, supervisor, or anything of that nature. The supervisors name couldnt be given but they even refused to allow me until 8/25 to pay. 1 hour and 30 minutes later I got the results I needed...I hope. Instead of paying 25% as he offered I am paying 50% of the last due amount on 8/25 and remaining amount on 9/3. I have never been so disrespected when I was with Stream and when this contract is up that is who I am returning to.

Very bad customer service.

  The service here is very very bad. The service representatives all seem to have comprehension issues and so its so frustrating to call in to resolve any issue or even ask a simple question. I dread it. I dread it so much I will be changing service providers. Rates are not super great. Just average.

  They will call you all the time and sending threatening notices to cancel, and much worse . When I called to find out about any early termination charges the little girl hung up on me.   Do not trust this company for your electric service, I was promised that my electric bill was going to be 60/70 dollars less than what I was paying, and it was the opposite my bills are coming in over 300, what a deception now they want me to pay 175 to change service provider. Im extremely angryat this company, and if I wouldnt go on my credit I would not pay them for breach of contract on their part.

poor service. fine print they dont explain

  moving so wanting transfer of service. want service discontinued at current location on 8/20. want service started at new location 8/18. have 55 days left on contract. you won't honor current contract terms to 10/9 as contract states because im too far into contract. transferring service for 55 days at the current terms sounds like the correct thing to do. in addition 2 late pays so you keep my $100 deposit. neither one feels like your treating me the correct way.
I spent 1.5 hours being pushed to 3 different people. Prior to that I was on hold for 50minutes before you disconnected me.
I think this is worth sharing on the reviews.

  Im just trying to figure out why my bill goes from $213 to $274. Every call I get from customer service is pointless because they are not able to answer that question and I get hung up on. I understand a late fee but a $57 different on bill when I have a flat rate of $207. Please have someone with some sense to call and explain this situation to me.

  I e only had them for a five months but my first bill was good then the next was double and the next triple and it just keeps getting higher, I was shown bills and I signed up for .08 kw and told that a family of two never used more than 1000 kw a month but being charged as if it's a family of 10, good thing we're military and will be leaving soon.

Bad customer service

  Worse customer service. I signed up with Just Energy which is also Amigo Energy and during sign-up from one company I canceled to go with Amigo. Not knowing the 2 companies use the same billing/customer service they canceled both accounts. The day I needed electricity it was turned off. When I had a tenant move in and take over the property they charged me extra for leaving them when the tenant changed the service. The customer service makes you stay on the phone for an hour. Use other providers that have good customer service, not this company you will be sorry you went with them when you have billing issues.

  In the 5 months Ive had this service, Ive barely got any responses to my emails re:my account. When I call every agent has a different answer. Though I have bills stating I owe a certain amount, they say different. After being given a shut-off notice, they made it unable for me to pay my bill as my account cant be located. Im about to get a lawyer. This company is the worst, most unprofessional bunch out there. I cant believe they are in business.

  I signed up on a Thursday over the phone for a transfer and was told it would take effect the following day. I called Monday and told them I hadn't received an email. They said they had forgotten to input my service address and nothing had been done but they finished while I was on the phone and it would be transferred that day or the next. I called Wednesday and they said it was still pending my credit review, which they told me on Thursday was fine. I cancelled and went with Tara Energy an hour later and they had me switched the next day.I asked Just Energy to refund my $14.99 for the so called Terra Pass energy credit and they said they would. They didn't.

Huge rip off

  So Just Energy stopped me in Sam's Club and convinced me that they were offering me a lower price (they did have my bill to compare.) After one month with them, my electric bill went from $90 to $151. I called Ohio Edison to find out what was going on only to find out Just Energy was charging me 2 1/2 times the amount I was paying with Ohio Edison. I switched back immediately. Don't let their promotions fool you. I got a $70 Sam's club card for changing my electric and gas. I had to wait for a new billing cycle to change back. So in the end, I will have paid $160+ more for service than I would have paid if I had stayed where I was. Imagine if I stayed a year and didn't catch it. That's $1,920 more a year and it would have been higher because I use gas in the winter to heat. Their customer service representative says they've been in business for 20 years, they must be doing something right. I told her no, you just have a bunch of idiots (like me) for customers, who are confused as to why their bill went up. And, I haven't spoke to anyone with Just Energy that I could understand. They all speak broken English. I will NEVER use these fake liars again for service! BEWARE!!!

Worst Company to Use when you have solar Panels

  I had solar Panels installed and my panels are producing nearly enough to cover to usage I am using every month . Come to find out they only pay you 3 Cents per Kilowatts that your panels are producing and charge you the difference . They should be ashamed what they are doing to people. I will never ever use this company again . Green Mountain matches what you produce and they will only charge you the difference of what the panels dont produce. If you try to call them they want to justify everything is correct and blame it on ONCOR . I called ONCOR and they told him they only billed them 33.60 for the overage and they are charging me 87 for that month . From my understanding they would only charge me the difference of what my panels don't produce that was a lie. I went a whole year getting rip off by Just Energy. I will be calling the BBB and file a complaint

BEWARE Bait & Switch to upcharge do not allow customers to make a choice

  Awful service, they disconnected service only to ask to open a new account to continue. Was a bait and switch to charge more! Called customer service to discontinue and rep tried bullying me, not allowing me to make a choice! My spouse had to get on the phone to convey my request. Since when is a woman not allowed to make a request? Since when cant they be heard? We are consumers, since when do we not have a choice?
And Lilly Social media advisor we do not need an apology nor do we want to see it

Just Energy - probably the worst choice for Texas

  After the Texas freeze in Feb, our HVAC system had a component failure which caused the inside blower to run constantly. The unit is very quiet and we weren't aware of this issue until we received a $1200 bill from them.

Most energy resellers have a onetime forgiveness policy for such incidents that will wave those overages as long as customer can show proof of the issue and receipt that the issue was fixed. However the nice folks at Just Energy were firm in recouping full payment despite the hardships of the customer after the freeze.

I will never use them again nor will we recommend them. They have one of the lowest ratings with the BBB and here on TER. My recommendation to anyone reading this? Read their policies and know there are better resellers out there. Texans have choices and deserve better service than Just Energy.

Do NOT sign up for this company!

  I was stopped in a Sams Club store in Columbus, OH by a rep stating he was with Just Energy. I spoke with him for a while about the company and decided to sign up. After looking at reviews online I decided to cancel (just 2 days later). Instead of calling Just Energy, which Ive tried calling them several times now and it repeatedly says their offices are closed, I called AEP and told them that I do not authorize the switch. This morning I received another email from AEP stating that I approved a transfer of my service to Dynergy which I also did not approve. The Just Energy rep stated my info would not be sold but yet another energy company was trying to switch my account without my consent.
